Lacoura builds creative software for people who make things — and we build it for the browser, because that is where the friction disappears.

Why the browser

Creative software has a habit of getting in the way before you have made anything: an installer, a licence server, a hardware key, a version that only runs on the other operating system. None of that has anything to do with the work.

Everything we build runs in a browser tab. Open a link and you are working. There is nothing to install, nothing to activate, and nothing that stops working because you switched machines.

What we are building

Lacoura 3D is our first app: a complete 3D modelling studio. Primitives and splines, editable-poly tools with real sub-object editing, boolean operations, a non-destructive modifier stack, physically-based materials and image-based lighting — and clean geometry out the other end, built for real-time engines.

It is the first of several. Lacoura is meant to be a family of creative apps that share the same idea, across different disciplines. We are building the next ones now.

How we think about your work

• Your files are yours. Export whenever you like, in standard formats.
• No lock-in. If you stop using Lacoura, your work still opens elsewhere.
• We will only email you about Lacoura, and never sell your address.
