Great coffee brings people together.
Jupiter Coffee Co. is a craft roaster and café rooted in quality, community and curiosity. We source exceptional beans, roast with care, and make rooms where good ideas and good conversations flow.

A hardware store, a roaster, a grilled cheese.
Jupiter opened in the spring of 1974 with one roaster in the window and a sign painted by a neighbour. The sign is at the Roastery now. The roaster is still going, and so is the grilled cheese.
We have had three counters, two floors and one address on Station Street. We are not moving.
Four dates that mattered.
- 1974
A former hardware store on Station Street, a second-hand roaster in the window and a grilled cheese on the menu.
- 1981
Trenta, the espresso blend, after a winter spent with roasters in Turin and a lot of bad coffee.
- 1998
The first direct relationship: a farm in Minas Gerais we still buy from every year.
- 2026
Six cafés, one roastery, two new Ethiopian blends and the same Tuesday roast day.
Five origins, bought the same way.
Fair trade is the floor. On top of it, the same cooperatives every year, more than the fair price for the lots we love, and a visit when we can.

Roast, rest, taste, then bag.
Twelve kilos at a time, a profile for each coffee, and a cupping table the next morning. Nothing is bagged that we would not drink ourselves.

Why there is a flower on the wall.
The coffee plant blossoms white and smells of jasmine for about three days a year. The drawing on our cups and walls is that flower, because it is the beginning of everything we do and most people have never seen it.

Coffee is always a good idea.
A note when a new coffee lands or the cafés change the menu, and not much else.
