General

What is CBD?

CBD (cannabidiol) is a naturally occurring compound found in hemp plants. It is commonly used in consumer wellness products and personal care items.

What is hemp?

Hemp, or industrial hemp, is a variety of the Cannabis sativa plant species explicitly grown for industrial use. Along with bamboo, hemp is one of the fastest-growing plants on Earth. CBD is extracted from hemp plants.

Are CBD and THC the same?

No. Although both come from the Cannabis sativa plant and are its most prominent cannabinoids, they have different chemical compositions. Marijuana plants have a higher concentration of THC; hemp has a higher concentration of CBD. CBD comes from varieties grown to have less than 0.3% THC.

Will CBD get you high?

CBD is non-psychoactive and contains 0.3% or less THC. It does not produce euphoric or sedative effects like marijuana.

How does CBD make you feel?

Individual experiences vary. Sacred Essentials™ products are intended for general wellness use only, and we do not make claims about specific outcomes.

Is CBD legal?

CBD derived from hemp containing less than 0.3% THC is legal. Sacred Essentials™ products are made from hemp and tested to meet legal standards.

What are the benefits of CBD?

CBD is commonly included in wellness and personal care products. Research is ongoing and no specific health claims are made.

How do you take CBD?

CBD is available in oral forms such as tinctures and gummies, and topical forms such as balms, lotions and roll-ons.

How old do you need to be to use CBD?

While there is no strict legal age restriction, most retailers require ID. Consult a physician for individuals under 18.

What is the right dosage of CBD?

Follow the usage directions listed on each product label.

What are the side effects of CBD?

CBD is generally well tolerated. Review the ingredients and consult a professional if you have concerns.

Why does Sacred Essentials™ use Full Spectrum CBD oil?

Full Spectrum CBD contains cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids that work together in what is often called the entourage effect.

Where does Sacred Essentials™ get its CBD oil?

From US-grown hemp, extracted using CO₂ extraction. Products are tested for potency, pesticides, heavy metals and microbials.

How does Sacred Essentials™ test its products?

Third-party labs verify CBD content and ensure THC remains below 0.3%. Test results are on our lab results page and in each product listing.

Pain Balm

What is the best way to use the Pain Balm?

Most customers find best success by massaging a dime size portion of balm directly on the skin in the area that needs relief.

Before or after exercise?

Many customers massage the balm both before and after exercise, to help warm muscles and support recovery.

What is the difference between the formulas?

The Extra Strength formula contains 1000mg CBD per 60g jar (compared with 500mg in the original) and 25% more cooling menthol. The Maximum Strength formula has 1500mg CBD per 60g jar along with enhanced cooling menthol.

What natural ingredients are in it?

Full Spectrum CBD oil derived from hemp, an olive oil base, essential oils, lavender, chamomile and vitamin E.

Does balm applied to the skin get into the bloodstream?

No. Topical CBD products are absorbed into the skin and localized nerve receptors only.

Pain Lotion

What is the best way to use the Pain Lotion?

Start with a dime size amount and apply directly to the skin. Massage until fully absorbed and add more if needed. Great before a workout, and ideal after a morning shower.

How is the lotion different from the balm?

The Pain Lotion is a water-based formula with additional skin-protecting ingredients. It has a lighter feel and absorbs more quickly.

Can I layer the lotion with other products?

Yes. Apply the Pain Lotion first as your base and let it absorb fully, then add balm if needed for an extra level of relief.

Pain Roll-On

What is the best way to use the Roll-On?

Apply to the skin where you most need localized application, whenever you need relief.

How is the Roll-On different from the balm?

It is easy to use, portable and keeps your hands clean, with a blend of active ingredients including lavender, arnica, rosemary and peppermint.

Can I layer the Roll-On?

Yes. Apply the Pain Lotion first and let it absorb, then layer the Roll-On on top.

Wellness Tinctures

What is the best way to use a tincture?

Start with 3–6 drops under the tongue, hold for at least 10 and ideally 30 seconds, then swallow. Increase the drops daily to reach a full dropper, or the level where you see the most benefit.

Why under the tongue?

Taken sublingually, tinctures absorb efficiently into the bloodstream without first being digested.

Other ways to take it?

Add it to your favorite drink or mix it into food.

Why MCT oil?

CBD is fat soluble and best absorbed with another healthy fat. MCT (medium chain triglyceride) oil, derived from coconut or palm oil, is a healthy fat the body converts into energy.

Why the 7:1 CBD to CBN ratio in the Nighttime tincture?

It was selected to best balance the potential calming effects when used before sleep. Take it about 30 minutes before bedtime.

Why the 2:1 CBD to CBG ratio in the Extra Strength tincture?

It was chosen to best balance the potential wellness benefits of the combination. Use it in the morning and micro dose through the day as needed.

Gummies

How do I use the gummies?

Relief: take one gummy whenever needed as part of your routine. Relax: take one at least 30 minutes before bedtime, or at other times of day when you want to unwind.

How do I find the right dose?

Start with one gummy, wait at least 15 minutes, and add more if needed. Each gummy has 30–35mg of total cannabinoids, close to two droppers of the regular Wellness Tincture.

Can I use gummies with other products?

Yes, especially with a topical. If you also take a tincture, let it take effect before adding a gummy.

What is turmeric extract?

Known as a spice in many Asian and Middle Eastern dishes, turmeric and its key component curcumin are also known for anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
